Successful and sustainable innovation is difficult to achieve. The iD2D program will enhance the capabilities of today’s biomedical professionals to provide data-driven solutions for tomorrow’s patients. This uniquely-designed program will engage participants in collaborative, cross-disciplinary problem-solving facilitated by top innovation experts in healthcare today. Challenges encountered will span the continuum from discovery research to new models of healthcare systems. Participants will experience a total of 35 hours of learning distributed over the 2020-2021 academic year.
Note: Our vision for this program is a highly interactive learning experience. We have adapted to the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be conducting the program online, using a mixture of tools that support online learning and collaboration. It is our hope that future iterations of the iD2D program meet in person once face-to-face learning is once again possible.
360° Perspectives on Innovations for Healthcare Innovation in the 21st Century
Regardless of where you are on the learning curve, you will come out of iD2D with a deeper understanding of how we can transform processes by eliminating barriers between professional segments and industry sectors. Innovating healthcare in the 21st Century requires team-centered approaches across the ecosystem: listening to new voices, working with new partners, delivering care in new venues, and using new tools. If you imagine yourself contributing to the transformation of patient care, this program is for you. Attendees of iD2D will interact with experts from academic and industry sectors, to engage in discussions and co-create daring solutions to our most pressing problems in healthcare today.

Who should apply?
We believe a successful training program will include participants with a diverse range of perspectives. If your work gives you a perspective along the discovery to delivery continuum, you could be selected for a seat at the table at the first iteration of the iD2D program. We will select for diversity of professional experience in our program cohort, canvassing a broad swath professionals to include researchers, engineers, product development experts, patient advocates, data scientists, directors/managers of research operations, physicians, nurses, and more. Ideal applicants will have 5-10 years of experience/training in their current field of work, a learning mindset, and an enthusiasm for driving change.

Upon completion of the iD2D program, participants will:
- Have built an extensive network of colleagues from a variety of fields and industries
- Know how to assess new opportunities from multiple perspectives
- Be able to tell a powerful innovation story
- Know the steps needed to de-risk innovation projects
Program Dates & Application
- The iD2D program will begin in Fall 2020 and run through June 2021.
- There will be no cost for applicants who are selected to participate in the program.
- The deadline to submit applications was September 15.
